This is a Quicktime movie of a fly through of one of the digs I have worked. It was video’d using ROCK, my Remote Operated Cave Kinescope, which is a tiny high sensitivity B&W camera on the end of a 15 foot expandable tent pole. I gave a demo of the original camera at an NSS convention speleonics session in Blacksburg years back; this is model 2. As I entered the dig, you can see the cone of light in front, from a series of red LEDs around the lens. With a wideangle lens, the camera makes the fissure passage appear humanly enterable. However, it was about 6 inches wide at the tight point.  John Lyles
